Wow.

That’s what I have to say about the past 3 days. There was plenty of crying, hugging and loving going on, lemme tell ya.

God has revealed Himself to me in a very special way. What I knew in my head sank to my heart. The message of His unconditional love is not new and yet, I so needed to hear it and live in the full knowledge of it. I’ll probably share more in the coming days. Right now, I’m just soaking it all in and sharing the joy with the people I love. It’s amazing what love can do to you. How it can transform you and make you look at life in a whole new way. During lunch yesterday, I was just sitting in the room with my dear ministry team members – all from different backgrounds, denominations and possessing different (and sometimes clashing!) personalities. I’ve known and worked with them for about two years now. And because of the nature of our ‘work’, besides seeing lives being transformed, our own lives and characters are also being beautified in the process. Of course we still have quite a ways to go but the humbling process of being sanctified and transformed by God’s love does make it easier for us to understand and love each other more. I looked around and thought to myself, “Man, I can’t believe how well we get along now and how much we like each other now!”

I don’t regard myself as a Methodist even though I’m now a member of a Methodist church. In fact, I’ve always seen myself as a Christian and I like being a part of inter-church ministries such as Elijah House. To me, it is a glimpse of what the universal church in the End Times would be like. Where Christians from all churches overlook their differences, embrace their diversities and unite because of their common love for God and one another.

Penny, who heard what I said in the lunch room couldn’t agree more. “Ariel, I think all of us here in this room will be perfectly comfortable with each other in heaven when we meet later on.”

I think so, too Penny. We sure have a lot of opportunities to practice loving each other here on earth!
